Camp Kesem operates free summer camps for children who have been impacted by a parent's cancer. Thank you for registering for camp with us! Kesem chapters run the summer camps. A chapter is a division of our Camp Kesem National program. We have over chapters that are based out of colleges or universities, and the camp counselors come from. · Event description: Hello friends! We are excited to announce our 7th annual Make the Magic! This year our chapter is hoping to support over kids from Connecticut and we need your help to make this happen! Make the Magic is an event that celebrates Kesem and supports our fundraising goals for the year. Kesem supports children through and beyond their parent's cancer with free camp, other fun-filled programs, and community, and provides resources for parents. Giving Tuesday is today, November 30th! Of all the fundraising we do annually, #GivingTuesday is the most important day of the year.
Program staffing is determined by the district school counseling coordinator and re-evaluated on an annual basis. Factors such as population size and other school demographics (SES, Minority) and district data are used to determine staffing. Camp Kesem is a large organization which utilizes students across over 50 campuses nationwide for fundraising. They needed a sophisticated way of tracking funds and donations. They were using Blackbaud’s Kintera Sphere which proved to be overly complicated and inflexible.
